The next senior grade course will take place on Saturday 1st October 2022, from 2-4pm at Xcite Broxburn Sports Centre.

The course is open to SWA members graded 3rd Kyu and above.

We now have a range of clothing available to buy. Please order via your club instructor. Samples will be available soon at the clubs to help with sizing. All will be embroidered with Shuzoku Wado-Kai logo.

SHUZOKU WADO-KAI ASSOCIATION CHAMPIONSHIPS

We are delighted to invite all our members to the inaugural championships of Shuzoku Wado-Kai Association. Entry forms are now available to download. Entry forms and fees should be returned to your club instructor.

The event will contain 3 competitions:  Kata (All ages), Kickmaster (<13 years) and Fighting (Kumite – All ages). Each competition will be further split into age/height/belt categories as appropriate. We encourage members of all ages and grades to participate.

Venue: Engage Sport and Fitness, Edinburgh Napier University, 9 Sighthill Court, Edinburgh EH11 4BN 

Date: Sunday 11th September 2022

Start Time: 10am

Entry Fee: £15 (Late Fee £20)

Fighting – competitors try to score points against each other. 8 point difference or highest score within time progresses to next round.

Kata – competitors perform kata (younger members can perform half kata and copy if necessary) – best performance progresses.

Kickmaster – competitors perform their best punching and kicking techniques against the strike dummy. Best techniques progress.

All competitors will receive a participation medal. There will be winners medals for 1st/2nd/  3rd places in each category. Competitors in the fighting events should wear hand pads and gum shield. Spectators welcome (spectator fee £2 per adult – payable on the day in cash).

Please save the date of Sunday 11th September 2022, for our inaugural Shuzuko Wado-Kai Association (SWA) Championships. This event will take place at ENGAGE Health and Fitness, Edinburgh Napier University, Sighthill, Edinburgh and comprise Kata, Kickmaster and Kumite (fighting) events for SWA members of all ages and grades.

We invite all members to attend a Wado Kata Course on Saturday 11th June 2022 at Xcite Broxburn Sports Centre.

2-3pm for Junior Grades.
3-4pm for Kyu/Dan Grades.

The event will be free of charge to all SWA licenced members.
