Congratulations to Sophie Jones who won a Gold Medal and Kyle Schuller won won a Bronze Medal in their respective Para Kata events, while representing the Scotland National Karate Team at the British Grand Slam event in Penrith. Whilst at the event they also took part in a BKF Performance Training Camp with the British Para Karate Coach.

We are delighted to invite all our members to the inaugural championships of Shuzoku Wado-Kai Association. Entry forms are now available to download. Entry forms and fees should be returned to your club instructor.
The event will contain 3 competitions: Kata (All ages), Kickmaster (<13 years) and Fighting (Kumite – All ages). Each competition will be further split into age/height/belt categories as appropriate. We encourage members of all ages and grades to participate.

Entry Fee: £15 (Late Fee £20)
Fighting – competitors try to score points against each other. 8 point difference or highest score within time progresses to next round.
Kata – competitors perform kata (younger members can perform half kata and copy if necessary) – best performance progresses.
Kickmaster – competitors perform their best punching and kicking techniques against the strike dummy. Best techniques progress.
All competitors will receive a participation medal. There will be winners medals for 1st/2nd/ 3rd places in each category. Competitors in the fighting events should wear hand pads and gum shield. Spectators welcome (spectator fee £2 per adult – payable on the day in cash).
