Senior Grade Course and Promotion September 2021
Great effort from everyone attending the Shuzoku Wado-Kai Senior Grade Course today, focusing on the 2021-2022 Dan Grade Syllabus.
A minute’s silence was held at the start of the course in memory of Bobby Morton, who sadly passed away and will be fondly remembered and greatly missed.
Lisa Scott was awarded the rank of 6th Dan after a result of a technical assessment earlier in the week covering the full Wado-Kai Syllabus. A big thank you to our guest Colin Clapperton 8th Dan Wado-Kai for leading today’s course. Colin acts as a technical advisor and will be our chief examiner at the forthcoming Dan Gradings.
SWA Senior Grade Course 12th September 2021
Register now for the next Shuzoku Wado-Kai Association (SWA) Senior Grade Course (open to SWA members 3rd Kyu and above). The course will cover the 2021-22 Dan Grade Syllabus and be led by Senior Instructor Peter Rogers 7th Dan and guest Instructor Colin Clapperton 8th Dan Wado-Kai.

Kickmaster Competition Aug 2021
Over 50 members attended Shuzoku Wado-Kai’s first fighting course. The kids took part in a kickmaster competition, their first competition post lockdown. Well done to all the medal and trophy winners.

Fighting Course and Mini Kickmaster Competition 29th Aug 2021
Register now for the Shuzoku Wado-Kai Association Fighting Course and Mini Kickmaster Competition to be held at [EN]GAGE Napier University, Sighthill Campus, 9 Sighthill Ct, Edinburgh EH11 4BN on Sunday 29th August 2021 10am-12noon.
All ages and grades are welcome to attend. Cost £8 per member (family discounts will apply).
The course will incorporate a Mini Kickmaster Competition for child members, with all competitors receiving a participation medal.
The course will be led by Shuzoku Wado-Kai Instructors Peter Rogers 7th Dan, Andy Elliott 5th Dan, Lisa Scott 5th Dan, Allan McKean 2nd Dan, David Murray 2nd Dan and Louise Elliott 2nd Dan.
This is a great opportunity to meet and train with all our instructors and fellow members of Shuzoku Wado-Kai.

Fantastic turnout at Shuzoku Wado-Kai’s 1st All-Member Course. Thanks to all our SWA instructors and to Guest Instructor Colin Clapperton 8th Dan. Next course will be Sunday 29th August at Napier University [EN]Gage at Sighthill and will be a fighting course and will include a mini-kickmaster competition for the kids. More details soon.

Register now for the Shuzoku Wado-Kai Association All members Course to be held at Xcite Broxburn Sports Centre on Sunday 25th July 2021 10am-12noon.
All ages and grades are welcome to attend. The course will be split into sections depending on ages and grades:
- 3rd Kyu + will focus on Dan Grade Syllabus for 2021-22.
- Adult Kyu Grades/12 years plus will focus on the Kyu Grade Syllabus.
- Juniors/under 12s will be a mix of karate and fun activities, and team games.
Cost £8 per member (family discounts will apply).
