  Congratulations to everyone who took part in the Scottish National Karate Championships at Ravenscraig on Saturday 15th November 2025.

  Federation of European Wado-Kai Championships, Italy 2025October 23, 2025

  

  Congratulations to Sophie, Lisa and Andrew who were selected to represent the Scotland Wado-Kai Karate Team at the 50th Federation of European Wado-Kai Karate Championships in Lignano Sabiadorro, Italy from 17th-19th October 2025. Sophie won the Gold Medal in the Female Para Kata event. Overall Scotland was placed 2nd in the medal table.

  Huge thank you to Allan Miller and his amazing team for the fantastic Kali and Pad Work Semniar today. Great to have the opportunity to train in these different martial arts and raise some funds for the Shuzoku Wado-Kai Association in the process. Thank you to everyone who supported this event

  Lothian Disability Sport Awards 2025October 6, 2025

  

  Congratulations to Andy and Sophie who were shortlisted for the Lothian Disability Sport Coach of the year and Sports Person of the year awards respectively.

  This year Sophie has won the British Karate Championships, medalled at both the Karate Scotland International Open and British Karate International Open, and has been selected to represent the Scotland Wado Kai karate team at the forthcoming Federation of European Wado-Kai Karate Championships in Italy for Para Karate.

  Andy is the Scotland National Para Karate Coach, Disability Coach for Shuzoku Wado-Kai Association, Senior Instructor of Dalry Karate Group and an active schools Coach in Edinburgh.

  Well done to both of you on your nominations.
